Your travel preferences

When you request recommendations, we process your travel brief and any budget, travel month and party size you provide. AI processing providers help us interpret the brief and write short explanations from our hotel research. We compare your preferences with researched hotels and rooms to produce your recommendations. A travel brief and party size are needed to request recommendations; budget and month are optional.

Recommendations help you choose a stay. They do not make a reservation, take payment or commit you to a purchase. Contact fields from booking inquiries are not included in recommendation requests. Please keep names, contact details and sensitive information out of your travel brief.

Shareable shortlists

We store the preferences from your brief and your recommendations so you can reopen or share a shortlist. The shared page shows your recommendations, party size, travel month and budget, but no contact details from a booking inquiry. Anyone with the link can view the shortlist without signing in, so share it carefully. Links expire after 180 days. Expiry prevents access through the link; deletion of the stored record is a separate scheduled cleanup step.

Booking inquiries

If you send a booking inquiry, we store your name, email, optional phone number, travel dates and date flexibility, party size, hotel and room choice, preferred contact method, and any message to handle your request. We also record an inquiry reference, its status and any email delivery status. An inquiry may be linked to your shortlist.

Name, email, travel dates and party size are required to submit an inquiry. A phone number is required if you choose phone or WhatsApp contact; otherwise it is optional. Your message is optional. Please do not include payment details, identity documents or sensitive personal information. You can browse hotels without submitting a brief or inquiry.

Service providers

We use hosting and cloud storage providers to operate the website and store shortlists and inquiries, AI processing providers for recommendations, analytics providers to measure website use, and email and communications providers for correspondence. When we send confirmation and team notification emails, those providers process the relevant inquiry details.

These services may involve processing outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. For questions about recipients or overseas processing, contact us using the address below.

Website use and security

Hosting providers process technical information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver the website. We use an identifier derived from your IP address to limit repeated requests and protect the service against misuse.

Analytics and cookies

We use analytics to understand visits and use of recommendations, hotel guides and booking assistance. Analytics includes pages viewed, referring websites, approximate location, browser and device information, and interactions such as opening a hotel or inquiry form. Our analytics provider uses a temporary identifier derived from requests to count visits without analytics cookies.

We do not add your travel brief, contact details or travel dates to analytics events. We remove query parameters and private shortlist identifiers from the page addresses sent to analytics. Cookie-free analytics still involves processing information about visits.

How long information is kept

Shortlist records become eligible for scheduled deletion when their links expire. Inquiry records are scheduled for deletion from the active records after 180 days from submission. Records may remain until cleanup runs. Request-limit records older than a day are also removed by scheduled cleanup.

Email correspondence, provider records and backups have separate retention settings. Expiry or deletion from our active records does not mean every copy is immediately erased.

Your rights

Where applicable under data protection law, you can request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal data, and a portable copy. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

You can complain to a data protection authority, including the authority in the EU or EEA country where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred.
